It Was All Me

One by one they disappear
the “us” future
the dreamed up kisses
even the white couch.
with time comes clarity
with separation the mind thinks vividly
decisions become clearer.
your heartbeat used to pull me closer
and honestly, i think it still does.
your beauty still makes everyone disappears in the room
your smile still causes a reaction to my lips
your eyes see me, at least i think they do
but one by one they disappear
you and me.
the faces begin to reappear
one by one
their looks see you and I
one by one
you slowly fade into the eyes that watches us
now it’s I…just I
seeing the eyes.
but maybe…you and me were never meant to be
because I can see the eyes around what was
but now what is…just I
